A PIRATE'S SECRET
In The Beginning
It goes without saying, that every Pirate has a secret or two. For
those new to me ship I think it be time to come clean with ye secret. Capt. Hood and meself have not always been Pirate's
of Fun. There be a time in our young lives when we both sailed His Majesty's ship with The ROYAL RUNNAMOK NAVY. Several years
back the ships of the RRN were called into dry dock for an unspecified reason. Rumor has it that gold got tight, changes were
taking place in the homeland. As time went by the crew of the RRN wandered the country looking for work and new beginnings.
Many wanted to rid themselves of sea life completely and soon disappeared without leaving a trace behind. Captain Hood and
meself felt a dire need to somehow get back to the life we loved. LET ME GO BACK: Sailing the
high seas was all we had known since both of us being born in the hull of the HMS Seahorse in 1760 and 1761. We were
born of two different Mothers but believed to be the same Father. Hood and I grew up together as lads that carried out
all the cleaning duties on the HMS Seahorse until 1773 when a young Horatio Nelson boarded as a midshipman and we
were given duty elsewhere. We were assigned 2 different ships to carry out service on and with in 10 years both of us were
given our own command in His Majesty's fleet. We fought many a battle for Mother England, through the coming years. It was
on one quiet September Evening whilst floating on calm seas, Hoods command the HMS Zealous and my command the HMS Speedy
encountered a surprise attack from the French, it was to be the last of us had not a band of Mother ships unite with us unexpectedly
and blow the French out of the water. From that day forward this band of brotherly ships along with ours would be called the
Royal Runnamok Navy. Well like I said earlier The RRN fleet was called to dry dock several years
ago. It left a bad taste in Hoods and my mouth, we rebeled against this decision took our ships from harbor one evening and
set sail for new adventures. We would become Pirates of the High seas and call ourselves "The Pirates Of Fun".
